The landscape has been restored to thrive – as it once did - on limited natural resources and organic gardening. Plant positioning is informed by the needs of local dwellers, to create an inviting habitat for diverse animal species.

Through these and other efforts to coexist with the surroundings, the Harmony strikes a chord that is beautiful in its natural imperfections and satisfyingly real.

The hotel’s many natural treats are sure to enhance our guests’ experience of green living. For example, the spigot by the reception offers purified, fresh rainwater through all seasons, providing guests with exceptional, pure drinking water that’s locally sourced and bottle-free!

An awareness of our interconnectedness within nature resounds throughout the Harmony. For example: The biodegradable soapy water from a guest shower filters through a gray water system where it purifies and then travels to nourish the banana trees that will one day provide breakfast for Howler Monkeys and other jungle friends. Susan and John hope their guests will find the same peace, comfort and sacredness that they do in this economy of living.

When they heard about the Harmony Hotel, the scent geniuses at Red Flower were so inspired that they created their first fully biodegradable, biocompatible line of luxurious, organic bath products. Available exclusively at the Harmony and as a complimentary gift to guests, Red Flower can also be purchased in the Bookshop for those wishing to take the delightful experience home to family and friends.
